There’s a real sense here of huge amount of data, yet by wrapping it up into an intertwining form it looks more manageable than simply a cloud of data points. You can also make out each individual strand which might represent a certain column / field from the dataset. Again, filtering could further enhance the interpretation of the data, hiding some strands and hi-lighting others.
